Janet and Steve's Garden

For anyone who happens to have stumbled across this blog in the hope of finding insights to the meaning of life, serious discourse on matters of great import or any sharp wit, then you've certainly come to the wrong place. This is just a simple diary of one couple's gardening experiences, published so that family and friends can see the garden develop.

It's filling out nicely

These area few pictures of the garden taken today. No particular order, and only a few words of explaination. Maybe ...

This is the white rose we brought back from Scotland last year. It is planted by the door to the conservatory and is trained over the structure by the back door. The scent is positively delightful.

Rolo ... It's a hard life being a cat ...

The boys playing..

In the pond ...

Looking from the corner to the patio.

The foxtail lillies in the "exotic" border.

The clematis on the corner.

This is a new grass bought fromWest Acre nursery this weekend.

Oh, and here's the "Dead" Yucca mentioned in the previous post. Potted up and, hopefully going to thrive.

The new path to the front door.

The wood chippings, used to create a path

Around the Yucca

And acting as a mulch in the borders

Oh, and here's the Amalanchier that Janet's been after for ages. we removed a "dead" Yucca out of this space ... then found it wasn't dead. Oops. We've potted up the Yucca and hope it survives.

A quick update... The path looked odd with the chippings on only one side of the path, so now we've put them on both sides... and this is how it looks in the rain!!!
